Ed Davis on Trail Blazers' playoff hopes: 'We're going to surprise some teams'

TUALATIN – The Trail Blazers had a day off on Sunday, but still regained control of their playoff fate when the Dallas Mavericks lost to the Los Angeles Clippers.

The Blazers returned to the practice court on Monday afternoon thankful to be back in position to claim the fifth seed in the Western Conference playoffs by winning their regular season finale on Wednesday.

"We'll see what happens tonight with Dallas and tomorrow night with Memphis, but you always want to be in a position to control your own destiny," Blazers coach Terry Stotts said.
