Portland Trail Blazers rookie center Donovan Clingan left Tuesday night’s game early with an ankle injury. Clingan leaped to contest a shot by the Brooklyn Nets’ Noah Clowney, and dropped to the ground on landing. It’s unclear what caused the injury, but the two players may have tangled their feet.
Earlier this season, Clingan missed significant time due to a grade 2 left knee sprain. This injury seems to be unrelated to that.
This highlight reel below will start at the play in question. Clingan’s injury happens at the 1:15 mark of the fourth quarter (around 8:45 in the video timeline).
