Donovan Clingan Not Satisfied with Summer League Debut

Despite not shooting well, Portland Trail Blazers rookie center Donovan Clingan still put forth a decent showing in his NBA Summer League debut, although he might not view it that way.

The No. 7 overall pick shot 1-8 from the field for four points in Portland’s 83-77 loss to the San Antonio Spurs, but he also registered five blocks and 13 rebounds (four offensive) with his massive presence in the paint, showing why his defense was so highly regarded heading into the NBA Draft.

Still, when asked in his postgame media availability what he was happy with about his performance, Clingan had difficulty finding an answer.
