On Tuesday night the Portland Trail Blazers face the Phoenix Suns for the first time in the 2023-24 regular season schedule. The matchup brought a reunion for multiple teammates who had been traded or signed between the two teams over the summer: Jusuf Nurkic, Nassir Little, Drew Eubanks, Toumari Camara, and most prominently, Deandre Ayton.
Portland’s starting center had an energetic game against his former team. Suns star Devin Booker took note. In a postgame press conference, Booker challenged Ayton to play like that every night.
