Portland Trail Blazer Damian Lillard has been warned for flopping by NBA officials after falling following a foul during the fourth quarter in the game against the Denver Nuggets. It his first offense this year. Flopping is defined as “any physical act that appears to have been intended to cause the referee to call a foul on another player.”

The league instituted the flopping policy in 2013, noting “the primary factor in determining whether a player committed a flop is whether his physical reaction to contact with another player is inconsistent with what would reasonably be expected given the force or direction of the contact.
