Damian Lillard putting up historic numbers: Trail Blazers notebook

Damian Lillard did not win Western Conference Player of the Week. That honor belonged to Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry, who continued his march toward a second straight MVP with another ridiculous week, averaging 43.8 points, 5.8 rebounds and 7.3 assists.

Lillard's numbers were impressive: 30.3 points, 4.3 rebounds, 4.3 assists. He certainly earned the non-Curry version of the award should the league decide to shift the categories. In fact, his 33-point game against Indiana on Sunday prompted one Indianapolis based reporter to ask Lillard if he was attempting a Curry impression.
