The Portland Trail Blazers’ 2x All-Star point guard Damian Lillard is expected to seek a maximum five-year contract extension this summer, according to Shams Charania of RealGM.com. Such an extension could be worth over $90 million, just like the one Cleveland Cavaliers point guard Kyrie Irving received last summer. Whether or not Lillard gets it will be determined in July, but he is reportedly confident in his chances. The Trail Blazers are unlikely to get away with underpaying him like the Golden State Warriors did with point guard Stephen Curry in 2012.
