Damian Lillard talked to the Club 520 Podcast earlier this week (available via YouTube), and revisited his years in Portland with LaMarcus Aldridge. The Lillard/Aldridge combination famously broke through with the Blazers’ first second-round appearance in over a decade, beating the Houston Rockets in a classic series at the buzzer of Game 6. Unfortunately, the team was dismantled just one year later after an Achilles tear for Wesley Matthews, along with Aldridge’s decision to leave the Blazers for the San Antonio Spurs. But Lillard admits that he’s considered the “what if” scenario, about whether the Blazers could have won it all.
