The Portland Trail Blazers earned their third win of the season in a game against a very shorthanded New Orleans Pelicans team on Monday night. The Blazers prevailed 118-100 after a massive fourth quarter outburst saw Dalano Banton outscore the Pelicans all by himself.
Here are some of the key points of the win.
Banton’s Heroics
Banton outscored New Orleans 20-18 in the final quarter. He scored all of his points on ultra-efficient shooting splits of 8-9 from the field, making two of his three attempts from deep. He helped Portland break the game wide open, pulling away from the injured Pelicans to close out the game.
