The Denver Nuggets interviewed Portland Trail Blazers Assistant Coach David Vanterpool for the position of Head Coach on Tuesday morning. He appears to be one of four primary candidates left in their quest to replace Brian Shaw. The other three coaches in consideration are Michael Malone, Mike D’Antoni, and Interim Head Coach Melvin Hunt.

Although Vanterpool has never been a Head Coach, he has been prepared to make the leap for years.
