Portland Trail Blazers legend Clyde Drexler showed up to the grand opening of the Dick’s Sporting Goods store at Jantzen Beach in Portland on Friday to meet fans and sign autographs.
In the latest piece on Kerryeggers.com, long-time Oregon sportswriter Kerry Eggers gave a first-person recount of the grand opening celebration, describing Drexler’s appearance as “charming, accommodating, gracious and grateful.”
Eggers explained Drexler has done meet-and-greats at a few grand openings for Dick’s Sporting Goods stores in the Houston area, so he “was all too happy to take part in the one at Jantzen Beach.
