SAN ANTONIO – Terry Stotts walked through the visiting locker room at AT&T Center and made eye contact with his veteran big man as he crossed from the coaches' office to the hallway.
Stotts extended his fist, bumping knuckles with Chris Kaman as he passed by Kaman's corner stall. The exchange was brief, the Trail Blazers coach barely broke stride, but it served as understated acknowledgment of Kaman's professionalism.
The Blazers lost to the San Antonio Spurs, 118-110, Thursday night. The Blazers hung with the Spurs for two quarters, but San Antonio (58-10) charged out of the gates in the third quarter, building a double-digit lead early in the second half before cruising to a 34th consecutive home win.
