The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s latest recommendations on crowd sizes could further delay the NBA’s return to action. In Sunday’s press release, the CDC suggested that gatherings should stay under 50 people for the next eight weeks.
Therefore, CDC, in accordance with its guidance for large events and mass gatherings, recommends that for the next 8 weeks, organizers (whether groups or individuals) cancel or postpone in-person events that consist of 50 people or more throughout the United States.
ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski provided further details on the situation in regards to how the NBA will handle scheduling.
