Following remarks made earlier this week by LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers, the Portland Trail Blazers’ Carmelo Anthony offered up his thoughts regarding the plans around the NBA All-Star Game this season. According to Jamie Hudson of NBC Sports Northwest, Anthony recognized that people deserve to be acknowledged, but he questioned whether it was good for players.
“I don’t think it’s right. I don’t think that we need it right now. It’ll be good to recognize those who got chosen to be an All-Star. I think that they deserve that recognition, but I just think that it’s a little bit too much in a short period of time.
