The Portland Trail Blazers will not be able to qualify for the NBA Summer League tournament even if they win on Thursday, Blazers reporter Casey Holdahl pointed out Wednesday night. Portland currently holds a 1-2 record with one pool play game remaining against the Thunder; nine other teams already boast three or more wins.
Only the top eight seeded teams will make the single-elimination tournament, per the Summer League rules. The remaining 24 teams will play in a consolation game on either July 12 or 13 before heading home.
