The Portland Trail Blazers and Phoenix Suns are both teams on the upswing, and both have reason to be active ahead of the NBA’s Feb. 6 trade deadline.
Winners of nine of their last 12, including a 130-105 shellacking of the Golden State Warriors last night, the Suns have found their groove immediately following former Blazer Jusuf Nurkic’s departure from the lineup. Now faced with being a fourth-stringer, and after Nurkic recently said that he and Suns head coach Mike Budenholzer “don’t have a relationship,” Phoenix would likely be thrilled to offload the oft-malcontent if any team would have him.
