The Portland Trail Blazers are Red Hot and Rollin’. They’ve won eight out of their last nine, something that seemed unthinkable just a few short weeks ago. On Monday they defeated the Phoenix Suns for the second straight game, this time needing overtime to prevail 121-119. Deandre Ayton continued his recent exceptional play by leading all Blazers with 25 points and 20 (!) rebounds, along with some big free throws down the stretch in the extra frame.
The Blazers won’t have a rest day, but neither will their Tuesday opponents, the Indiana Pacers.
