During Portland Trail Blazers legend Damian Lillard’s 11-year tenure with the franchise, he primarily shared the backcourt with two starting shooting guards: Wesley Matthews and CJ McCollum.
Lillard spent the better part of his first three NBA seasons starting alongside Matthews. The fiery 3-and-D prototype injected Blazers lineups with grit and heart during his five-season Portland run from 2010 to 2015. He earned the nickname Iron Man before a heartbreaking torn achilles ended his Portland tenure — and, essentially, the LaMarcus Alridge-led iteration of the Blazers — in March 2015.
Then Lillard spent seven of his final eight seasons with the Blazers as part of a dynamic offensive duo with McCollum.
