Blazers Season Awards: Sixth Man of the Year

Related Topics: Allen Crabbe, Sixth man

For this award, it’s very difficult to nail down a specific bench player with this Blazers team. During the team’s season struggles, coach Terry Stotts shuffled the lineup a lot as he tried to figure out which lineup worked the best.

However, it became clear as the season progressed, that Allen Crabbe was Portland’s Sixth man.

Crabbe brought a microwave shooting mentality to the 2nd unit. Despite the large contract he signed in the offseason that would normally command a starting spot, Crabbe took his sixth man role to heart. Most of the time, he would come in and provide solid offense (sometimes the only offense) for the 2nd unit.
