Blazers’ Scoot Henderson ‘Keeps Grinding’ to Career-High vs. Spurs

The Portland Trail Blazers are back in the loss column after a 118-105 loss to the San Antonio Spurs on Thursday night at the Moda Center.

The Blazers’ loss can be accredited to the slow start. Portland trailed 38-14 after the first quarter and was down by as much as 28 at one point. However, the deficit was cut in half by halftime thanks to rookie point guard Scoot Henderson, who scored a career-high 25 points.

“I thought he struggled early but one thing about Scoot is he’s going to keep grinding the whole time,” coach Chauncey Billups said postgame.
