Gerald Henderson started out the 2015-2016 season as the projected starting shooting guard. An injury and a C.J. McCollum 37 point outburst opening night put that notion to rest. After 5 years as a starting shooting guard in the NBA, Henderson was forced to come off the bench. It is a tougher transition than most people know. Henderson came back very rusty and looked uncomfortable being an energy guy off the bench. As the Blazers record began improving from an 11-19 start, so did Henderson.
Henderson’s patented baseline jumper became a staple in the Moda Center.
