The Portland Trail Blazers tried to overcome a putrid shooting performance against the Memphis Grizzlies on the road Monday by mucking up the play with hard play and hustle. Unfortunately for the Blazers and their loyal supporters, that model couldn’t sustain itself past two and a half quarters.
It’s a tale as old as time with Portland the last few seasons, and on this night it helped the Grizzlies sprint away to a 123-98 win.
In bigger news than a semi-expected road blowout, both Robert Williams III and Jerami Grant left the game early due to injury.
