Portland Trail Blazers rookie center Donovan Clingan has been playing more like himself lately. Blazers head coach Chauncey Billups said as much after Portland’s 117-111 road loss to the Dallas Mavericks Thursday.
“I thought [Clingan] played great, I really did,” Billups said after the loss. “ ... He played really tough. It was good to see him back to DC again.”
After sitting out Wednesday’s 119-100 win against the New Orleans Pelicans for rest, the 7-foot-2 center produced 11 points on 4-4 shooting, 11 rebounds (four offensive), and two blocks in 24 minutes in Dallas.
