The Trail Blazers roster has endured two significant injury setbacks in recent days. On Monday, it was revealed that CJ McCollum suffered a hairline fracture in his left foot. During Tuesday’s media availability, McCollum discussed his path to recovery.
NBC Sports Northwest’s Jamie Hudson captured McCollum’s comments on the subject. According to the former Lehigh standout, this fracture is drastically different than the injuries he suffered in college.
McCollum explained, “The severity of it is different. It doesn’t require surgery. It’s a different part of the foot. A Jones fracture is what I had previously – it’s a very common sports injury.
