The NBA and the Portland Trail Blazers are mourning the loss of one of the best to ever do it on Monday.
Bill Walton passed away at the age of 71 after a long battle with cancer, according to sources.
NBA commissioner Adam Silver released the following statement:

Walton was drafted by the Blazers with the No. 1 overall pick in the 1974 NBA Draft and played his first five NBA seasons with the franchise after a historic collegiate career at UCLA.
