Blazers Handle Shorthanded Pelicans, 118-100

It took most of the night, but the Portland Trail Blazers eventually overcame the injury-ravaged New Orleans Pelicans for a 118-100 victory Monday night. The obviously-tired Pelicans, who played the night before and tipped off at a late 8:30pm local time, ran out of energy in the fourth, and the Blazers danced by them for an easy win that looked in doubt for a while. Let’s dig in.

Blazer of the game: Toumari Camara. He hit key shots and brought the defense throughout, scoring 16 with 6 rebounds, 4 assists, a steal, and a block. It doesn’t count as a breakout game, but that’s partially because this kind of game is quickly becoming more common for him.
