The Trail Blazers and Memphis Grizzlies will compete in a playoff series against each other for the first time starting Sunday, but the franchises do have connections, starting at power forward.
During the 2006-07 season, LaMarcus Aldridge and Zach Randolph -- the two All-Stars whose head-to-head matchup at power forward figures to be one of the keys in the best-of-seven series -- were teammates on the Blazers. Aldridge was a rookie who was the No. 2 pick in the draft, and Randolph was the franchise player who led the team in scoring and rebounding.
During the 2013 All-Star Game in Houston, we caught up with Aldridge and Randolph, who were both selected as Western Conference reserves, as well as another player from that '06-07 Portland team, Ime Udoka.
