The Portland Trail Blazers rolled up their sleeves for an ugly, muddy, plucky road contest against the Oklahoma City Thunder tonight.
In the end, the scrappy young Blazers couldn’t overcome a turnover bug and their hard-nosed defense came up short against one of the NBA’s premier teams. Portland dropped back in the final minutes of a close game to lose, 109-99.
Blazer of the Game: Toumani Camara. The individual numbers from Camara were solid, but his defense was phenomenal against OKC. Portland’s second-year forward took on the challenging assignment of Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and hounded the MVP candidate all night.
