The entire Portland Trail Blazers coaching staff wore bow ties for Game 2 against the Denver Nuggets in honor of Jon Yim, the team’s video coordinator/developmental coach. Yim was in a serious car accident in Portland last week and is currently recovering in the hospital. Members of Yim’s family were also involved in the accident.
To show their support for Yim, who held a tradition to wear bow ties for Wednesday games, Portland’s coaches put on their own bow ties (via NBC Sports Northwest’s Dwight Jaynes):
“It was a pretty serious accident,” Coach Terry Stotts said.
