The Portland Trail Blazers celebrated the upcoming start of the regular season by getting out in the community Monday evening. Players and coaches visited kids at the Blazers Boys and Girls Club in Northeast Portland to play games, host a pizza dinner and give out tickets.
“There’s no better way to start off a season than to come and share love and spend time with kids in our communities, lighting up everybody’s day,” Portland head coach Chauncey Billups said. “It’s just as much fun for us as it is for the kids.”
As Billups continued to talk with reporters at the event, Blazers center Deandre Ayton walked down the nearby hallway.
