Portland Trail Blazers forward Caleb Swanigan has opted out of the NBA’s season restart in Orlando, according to president of basketball operations Neil Olshey (via Lindsey Wisniewski of NBC Sports Northwest). Swanigan cites personal reasons for not participating at the NBA’s Walt Disney World bubble. Starting small forward Trevor Ariza has also elected to opt out in order to fulfill a one-month visitation period with his son.
Swanigan arrived in Portland for the second time after a February trade from Sacramento. He played in 20 games for the Blazers, averaging 2.
