Blazers Blast Lakers in Opener, 128-119

The Portland Trail Blazers started off the 2018-19 season in style on Thursday night, defeating the Los Angeles Lakers 128-119 in front of a raucous Moda Center crowd. They scored 30 or more points in three of the four quarters, capped off by a 35 points fourth stanza. Damian Lillard led the way with 28 points, six rebounds and four assists on the night. Nick Stauskus chipped in 24 off the bench, and CJ McCollum added 21 points and five boards. LeBron James had a solid showing in his first regular season game in a Lakers uniform, finishing with 26 points, 12 rebounds and six assists in a losing effort.
