The NBA schedule can be cruel but it can also offer gifts to the Portland Trail Blazers. After suffering the predictable results in a preposterous home/away back-to-back against Oklahoma City and Phoenix, the Blazers get a favor back from the schedulers.
The Blazers will face an injury-decimated New Orleans Pelicans team that will be on the second night of a back-to-back, albeit one where they didn’t have to travel. On Sunday evening with only one regular starter on the court, the Pelicans fell to an also injury-weakened Atlanta Hawks team, 126-111.
On Saturday, the Blazers came up short against the Phoenix Suns, 103-97.
