Ayton Likely to Play, Grant and Williams Likely Out Against Nets

The Portland Trail Blazers were back at their Tualatin Practice Facility Monday afternoon, preparing to face the Brooklyn Nets in a little over 24 hours for game two of a five-game homestand.

After practice, Portland head coach Chauncey Billups gave injury updates to local media regarding key players and early indications about whether they’ll be available Tuesday against Brooklyn.

Portland starting center Deandre Ayton missed Saturday’s 119-98 loss to the Miami Heat due to left calf soreness, but Billups said he practiced Monday. He was optimistic about Ayton’s status.

“I suspect that DA will be fine [for tomorrow],” he said.
