The Portland Trail Blazers are far from the NBA’s best team but they’re not the worst, even though they looked a lot like it last night against the Utah Jazz. Six weeks into a six-month season, the franchise is sporting a 8-15 record, good enough for seventh-worst league-wide.
As many have noted, the franchise would be doing itself a disservice by even looking up at the NBA Playoffs. The plan should be giving themselves the best chance at the bevy of potential franchise-changing guys in next year’s draft, headlined by Duke’s Cooper Flagg.
