Timberwolves rookie Anthony Edwards made the most of the Trail Blazers’ focus on Karl-Anthony Towns on Sunday. In the win, Edwards recorded a career-best 34 points and captured the attention of superstar guard Damian Lillard.
After the game, Lillard delivered his game-worn jersey to the No. 1 pick. Edwards shared a brief video of his new jersey—that included a message from Lillard—on social media. Lillard, in turn, promoted that message.
Lillard, in the loss to the Wolves, recorded 38 points of his own. Sunday’s contest between the Blazers and Wolves marked the final matchup between the two sides in the 2020-21 regular season.
