Second-year guard Anfernee Simons is primed for an upgraded role in the Portland Trail Blazers’ rotation this season after playing just 20 games as a rookie. What Simons brings to the team overall next year is still a mystery, but the substantial run he got in Game 82 against the Sacramento Kings gave a hint as to why the IMG Academy product is so highly touted.
Simons played all 48 minutes that night and scored a career-high 37 points. His 7-of-11 shooting from 3-point range was the top highlight, but the guard also displayed moves and efficiency in the paint.
