Anfernee Simons has had a rough year. As the Portland Trail Blazers have continued to lose, the seventh-year guard has struggled, averaging fewer points on worse shooting that at any point since becoming a full-time starter partway through the 2021-22 season.

“I be having my bad days. I’m like anybody else. I call them my ‘human days,’ when I let things get to me a little bit. Obviously, it has had an effect on my game.
