Anfernee Simons, the Portland Trail Blazers exciting second-year guard, has been named to the Second Team All-Summer League. He played in three games and averaged 22 points, 4.3 rebounds, 1.7 assists and one steal.
Simons led the team in scoring thanks to a 35-point outburst against the Utah Jazz. He shot 13-18 from the field and made six three-pointers in the loss.
In the final seconds of that game, he suffered a Grade 1 sprain of his right ankle and missed Portland’s next two contests. If he remained healthy, he might’ve earned a spot on the First Team All-Summer League.
