Portland Trail Blazers SF Allen Crabbe picked up a left knee strain in Portland's win over the Miami Heat on Thursday, and he's been ruled out for Saturday's game against Orlando and Sunday's game against the Los Angeles Lakers.
Crabbe, a second-year player out of UC Berkeley, had been averaging 3.5 points, 1.3 rebounds and 0.9 assists in 14.8 minutes per game so far this year. Crabbe's shooting percentage has increased from .364 his rookie year to .422 so far in 2014-15, and he has been rewarded with an expanded role in Terry Stotts' rotation.
Crabbe had officially been listed as day-to-day, and we wouldn't expect him to miss extended time with this fairly minor injury. The Blazers have two days off after Sunday's game, and it's reasonable to expect Crabbe to return Wednesday for Portland's home game against the Los Angeles Clippers.
