The Portland Trail Blazers were ready to dig their heels in with superstar LaMarcus Aldridge slated to be out 6-8 weeks with surgery on a torn ligament in his thumb.
Per a SportsCenter breaking news update on Saturday, that's not the case anymore:

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports, Aldridge tested out his thumb and decided that he's a go, at least for the time being:

Aldridge's presence will be huge for a Blazers team that has lost five or its last six and was in danger of falling into the shuffle in the Western Conference without their top scorer and rebounder.
