SPRINGFIELD, Ore. - Playing their first game of a two-match road trip, the Portland Timbers U-23s defeated Lane United FC 1-0 for their second win of the PDL season on Wednesday night at the Willamalane Center for Sports and Recreation.
Lane United FC (3-3-4, 13pts) had a chance early on in the 17th minute after they were awarded a penalty kick. Portland goalkeeper Colin Partee, who finished the match with three saves, stopped the penalty to keep the game tied at 0-0.
The Timbers U-23s (2-6-3, 9pts) opened the scoring in the 44th minute off a set piece play.
