Thorns FC forward Nadia Nadim and the Danish National Women's Team finished as runners up in the 2017 UEFA Women’s EURO Sunday, as the tournament-host Netherlands secured a 4-2 finals victory in front of 28,182 fans in Enschede. Nadim scored the opening goal in the match with a 6th minute penalty kick, her second goal of the EUROs.
The match featured an undefeated Dutch team and a Danish team whose only tournament loss came in a group-stage match versus their finals opponent. The second-place finish marks Denmark's best-ever showing at the Women's EURO.
