PORTLAND, Ore. – The Portland Timbers will face Los Angeles FC at Banc of California Stadium in the quarterfinals of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup on Wednesday, July 10, it was determined after LAFC defeated the San Jose Earthquakes 3-1 in the Round of 16 on Thursday night. The Timbers’ second road match of their 2019 U.S. Open Cup campaign will begin at 7:30 p.m. (Pacific).
The Timbers advanced to the quarterfinals for a second consecutive season and the fourth time in club history (2013, 2014, 2018, 2019), following a 4-0 victory over the LA Galaxy at Providence Park in their Round of 16 match on Wednesday.
