PORTLAND, Ore. – The Portland Timbers today announced details for the club’s preseason trip to San José, Costa Rica, for preseason training, presented by Old Trapper Beef Jerky. The team will play three exhibition matches against Costa Rican Primera División sides, before returning to Portland to start preparations for their 2020 preseason tournament at Providence Park.
After beginning preseason training camp on Monday, Jan. 20, the Timbers will train in Portland through Jan. 27, when they depart for Costa Rica to begin a 14-day training camp at Complejo Deportivo Fedefutbol Plycem, home of the Costa Rica Football Federation.
