While the full MLS schedule hasn’t been yet released, the league has released several important fixtures for all clubs. The Portland Timbers will open the 2019 campaign – its ninth in MLS – with an extended series of road games due to completion work on a multiphase, $75 million stadium-expansion project that will add approximately 4,000 new seats to the east side of Providence Park and a host of amenities and improvements throughout the stadium.
Their first home match of the season is set to take place on June 1st against Los Angeles Football Club, while they open the season on the road at Colorado on March 2nd.
