The Portland Thorns have announced their signing of former Glasgow City FC forward Savannah Jordan. The Thorns selected Jordan in the second round of the 2017 college draft with the understanding that she was likely first headed to Europe to begin her professional career. She signed with Glasgow City, a Scottish Premier League side, in January, and it was unclear when she would be joining the Thorns. Scottish media reported in May that Jordan would make an early exit from the club, after seeing little playing time.
Jordan was a prolific scorer at the University of Florida, notching 81 goals and 27 assists in 94 matches over four seasons with the Gators.
