PORTLAND, Ore. – Portland Thorns FC midfielder Dagny Brynjarsdottir was named to the Iceland National Team roster for an upcoming four-team international friendly tournament from Oct. 17-25 in China, which also includes the China, Denmark and Uzbekistan, it was announced today.
Brynjarsdottir, 25, has 66 international caps and has recorded 19 goals for Iceland. In her first season with Portland, Brynjarsdottir tallied five goals and an assist in 17 matches (12 starts). During the last international break, Brynjarsdottir helped Iceland qualify for the UEFA Euro 2017 Championship after scoring two goals in a 4-0 win over Slovenia on Sept.
