PORTLAND, Ore. – Portland Thorns FC will play host to Utah Royals FC at Providence Park in the club’s 2020 home opener on Saturday, April 18, it was announced today as the NWSL unveiled details for each club’s home-opening match for its eighth season.
In addition, Portland will play its second game of the season against the Chicago Red Stars on Saturday, April 25, at SeatGeek Stadium in Bridgeview, Ill.
The April 18 match will mark Portland’s first match on opening weekend of the NWSL season since 2017, and the first time Thorns FC will square off against Utah in their home opener.
