Four Portland Thorns FC players appeared for their respective Australian club sides this past weekend in Week 7 of the Westfield W-League.
Britt Eckerstrom and the Newcastle Jets rose to a 3-0 win over Hayley Raso, Celeste Boureille and the Brisbane Roar in a top-of-the-table clash. All three Thorns players earned respective starts and played through the full-time whistle. Raso had a couple exciting plays, including a shot on goal in stoppage time that deflected just wide of the net, however, Eckerstrom would go on to keep the clean sheet—her second of the season.
